1. Service Description

PinBid is a Discord bot that runs daily auctions in Discord servers. Members place bids to have their message promoted and pinned for 24 hours. Server owners receive 80% of winning bids; PinBid retains 20% as a platform fee.

2. Bids and Charges

Bids are card authorizations only. When a member places a bid, their card is authorized for the bid amount but not charged. Only the winning bid is charged. All losing bids are released without charge.

Bids are placed in whole US dollars. The minimum opening bid is set by the server owner; the maximum accepted bid is $500.

PinBid may refuse, rate-limit or delay any bid, and may pause bidding in a server or across the service, where this is needed to prevent card testing, fraud or abuse, or while a dispute is being reviewed. Refused bids are never charged.

Where a server requires moderator approval, a winning bid must be approved within 24 hours of the auction closing. If no moderator approves or rejects it in that time, the auction is cancelled, no message is posted, and every authorization is released without charge.

There are no refunds after a spotlight has been posted and pinned.

3. Content Rules

The following are prohibited from being promoted via PinBid:

Server owners and moderators may reject any bid for any reason. Rejected bids are never charged.

Any member can report a spotlight while it is live, using the Report button on the message. Reports are sent to the server's moderators. PinBid may also remove a spotlight that breaks these rules.

4. Fees and Payments

PinBid charges a 20% platform fee on each winning bid. Server owners receive 80% of the winning bid amount.

Payouts are only available to server owners in supported countries. PinBid can currently pay out to owners in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland and the European Economic Area — 33 countries in total, listed when you run /pinbid connect. If your country is not on that list, PinBid cannot pay you, and you should not run auctions in your server. Email [email protected] before installing if you are unsure.

Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe Connect. Server owners must complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding to receive payouts. Payouts follow Stripe's standard schedule and payment policies. Stripe's terms and conditions apply to all payment transactions.

Payouts to a newly connected server are held and reviewed before the first release. PinBid may hold, delay or void payouts connected to disputed, refunded or fraudulent transactions, and may pause a server while a dispute is open.

5. Age-Restricted Servers

Servers marked as age-restricted or NSFW on Discord cannot use PinBid. If a server is marked age-restricted, PinBid will not function in that server.

6. Bot Removal

PinBid may be removed from a server at any time by the server owner. Users may stop using PinBid at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

PinBid is provided on an "as-is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PinBid is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to Terms

PinBid may change these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of PinBid after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
